Ice-skating.....

Yesterday we went ice-skating, what a laugh!  I haven't been skating since I was a teenager, many years ago.  It was just the same, loud, cold, and lots of kids tearing around at 100 miles an hour.  It was such good fun, I really enjoyed myself, and I managed to stay upright the whole time! Well the same could not be said for my beloved husband..... to say he hated it is an under statement, which of course I found highly amusing, (the sympathetic wifey that I am), anyway the kids enjoyed once they got their ice-skating feet, and with the help of a frame they were off.  We most definitely will be doing it again, whether John will come with us , well that is another story!

Movie night at the van der Peets....

Saturday night we went around to our friends the van der Peet's. Every year they put on a movie night in their back garden, this year they showed 'Chitty,Chitty Bang Bang'.  Their were 35 kids plus adults!  I was very impressed, as they had popcorn, drinks and icecream for the children, plus a fantastic selection of food for the adults, what a night!

Emily's 3rd birthday

On Saturday we had Emily's 3rd birthday.  Emily is my god daughter, and the daughter of my good friend Beck's, who is like a sister to me.  The girls had a great time, especially Emma as they have a flying fox at their house, she was on it practically the whole time, I think she wore a path, she went on it that many times!

Talking of dancing....

Took this today of the girls dancing to their favourite song Mercy, by Duffy.....

Last but not least....

The girls have taken up dancing!  Yes finally I have got my act together and found a dance school, I was quite nervous with Paddy's leg, but she has taken to it like a duck to water, she just loves to dance.  So her and Georgie are doing Jazz and Emma is doing ballet, they are so cute, as of yet I haven't taken any photo's, but in the new term I will take some and put them on the blog!

A bit of Easter baking....

What is Easter without Hot Cross Buns?  And as always I have my little helpers on hand, I love Hot Cross Buns, especially home made ones straight out of the oven with loads of butter, hmmmm, they were great!

Playball throphies!

A couple of weeks before the school holiday's Emma and Georgie won the Playball throphies!  They were very pleased with themselves, even though they don't look too thrilled in the photo's, they were smiling on the inside!

The birthday party......

So, after much thought it was decided to have Emma's party at 'Climb Zone', I am past having 20 children wreaking havoc on the house, so any venue that can take that many children and entertain them for a couple of hours gets the big thumbs up from me.  All we had to do was provide the food and cake and we were in clover!!!  I love it!  Having said that once we got there it was kinda of hard keeping an eye on that many kids but we had the same amount at the end as we did in the beginning!!  Always a good thing, don't you think!

Catch up time .........again!

 Birthday Cake number one!

Emma's birthday dinner with Matt and Luke, plus a relative Carl from Ireland!

 Birthday present opening!

So what has been happening here in NZ, yes it has been awhile but as always things have been hectic in the Walsh household!

Where to start....well a few weeks back Michael had a couple of friends come and stay that he met while on his Kiwi Experience, so we had a very full household for a few days.  Luke and Matt are also from the UK, and it was really nice to have them come and stay, and I hope they enjoyed all the home cooked meals, and that they didn't mind the early starts with three little girls in the house!!!  A bit different to back packing I am sure!

Also at this time was Emma's 7th birthday, (where oh where has those years gone?)  Emma was (for those of you who don't know) an IVF baby, so 7 years ago John and I were very excited to met her.  When she was born the first thing I said was 'oh she has red hair!' and seven years on it is still just as red, and she almost looks as gummy as when she was born!! I wonder is she ever going to get those second teeth, hopefully by Christmas eh!
