Michael.....

Our nephew Michael arrived from the UK on the Sunday before P & G's birthday, he is over here to travel a bit and to see the sights of NZ. He is finding it very hot, (well it is very hot). Much better than a cold British winter I say! The girls absolutley love him, poor bloke doesn't get a minutes peace and quite all day! The pictures are taken from the top of Mt Eden, and I also have put in one of Auckland city

Our trip to Tairua....

For the first time as a family we went away for a holiday in New Zealand to a place called Tairua which is on the East Coast, in a place called the Coramandel. We had such a wonderful time, the weather was great, the beaches superb, and what made it even better was that our friends Beck and Andrew were down there as well. In fact it was Beck who got us down there in the first place, so we have her to thank for a great holiday. They only stayed a couple of houses down the road from us, so their kiddies and ours just went between the two all day. It reminded me of what it was like growing up when I was younger, you know how you were always at your friends house? It was fabulous. Becks and I went walking most mornings and always enjoyed a nice coffee on route! My brother Jonny and his girlfriend Lisa also came down, we all had great fun!!!!!

Here are a few pictures from Christmas Day. We had a great day, Jonny and Lisa come over in the morning..... we ate lots of food. Then we had lunch....... and ate lots more food, and last but not least Mum came over for the evening ....and we managed to eat some more! We ate for NZ! In between all this festive eating we did open some presents, and spent the day relaxing, we had no choice really we couldn't move, only the girls managed to get moving!

My birthday...

The family
Me and my Mum, just think 42 years ago she spent Christmas in hospital!
John and Lizzie

Beautiful flowers that John got me for my birthday!

On Christmas eve was my 42nd birthday (should I be revealing my age?), so we all went out for dinner and had a lovely meal, and I didn't have to cook. Bonus!!

JJ....

John's friend JJ arrived on the 22nd of Dec to spend three weeks with the Walsh's. JJ is a very brave man as he is a bachelor with no children, and I did warn him before the trip there would be no sleep ins!! I needn't have worried he took to the girls like a duck to water, here he is on the trampoline when he thought no one would be looking (Can you believe it Chrissy?)

Last day of kindy....

On the 19th of Dec Paddy and Georgie had their last day of kindy. What a lovely morning it was, a fantastic lunch was put on for all the children and also a show, the kids had a brilliant time. I tried not to cry when we left, but it was an emotional time for me, my babies are off to school. Kindy has been fantastic this year, they gave us so much support during Paddy's surgery and they were so accommodating with everything. A big thank you to Christine, Amanda, Julie and Rahana, we are going to miss you!

You can see in the top photo Paddy still has her foot, what a big year it was, full of up's and downs!

Paddy doing her jiberdee

In the last week of kindy Paddy and Georgie had Jiberdee, this is for all the children heading off to school. Normally this is done on the child's last day of kindy, but as there was approx 20 children leaving that week, things were a bit different, so P & G had their Jiberdee a few days before they left. What the do is they get a cake they have made out of play dough, with candle and they get sung happy birthday. After this a little diddy is played and everyone stands in a circle and who ever is doing jiberdee is in the middle and they get to pick other kids when the music stops. All very sweet. Georgie only picked boys, except for a token girl Hannah, ( I tell you she is a worry our Georgie!), she didn't even pick Paddy, I was so surprised and Paddy's face was so disappointed. Paddy was loyal to her twin, but she only
picked girls!

Yet another catch up.....

Sorry I am so hopeless, it was so chaotic at the end of last year, i sort of got overwhelmed with everything!  So here is what the Walsh Family has been up to.

First off there was Emma's end of year school production, all the Year one and Two classes did an individual show and I have to say I was really impressed.  The kids were all so cute, and of course all the parents were very proud.  Paddy and Georgie were gagging to join in, just think this year they will be able to!  Emma is in the 2nd row, in the middle, you can just about make her out!

Random photo challenge.........

This is for you Jenna, this is photo number 21 taken in May.  Our lovely friends the Bielby's had come over for dinner before they moved to Australia to live.  (We miss them all very much)  So it is of  all the kids in the bath, they had such a good time, can you believe we can fit six kids in the bath!!!!!  I also think it was the Sunday before Paddy's operation, so it was to be a big week

Happy 5th Birthday Paddy and Georgie......

This time five years ago Paddy and Georgie were born, and like today it was really hot, I was totally over being pregnant!! I was due for a c-section on the 7th but went into labour naturally, they must have know I was ready because I honestly don't think I could have done another day! Well we have been through a lot these last five years and I have to say it was so nice to celebrate their birthday without a cloud hanging over our heads! Happy Birthday Paddy and Georgie!!!!
Here they are as newborns and a video of them getting their cake today. I have l lot of catching up to do (as always) but when I get a moment I will get onto it!! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.
