When it rains......

What do you do when it is pouring with rain and the kids are at kindy and school, make marmalade of course! The other day my friend Nicola whose girls go to school with my three came round and we had a fantastic day marmalade making (very Martha Stewart). We have been so inspired we are going to give relishes and chutneys a go!

Really, maybe you call it something different in the States. I know we call your jelly, jam here in NZ. Marmalade is just a kind of jam made with citrus fruit like lemons, grapefruit, oranges etc. It is particularly good on really good brown bread toast with lashings of butter!

YEs that is what they call it here, I've just never tried it. I'm a big fan of blackberry and boysenberry jams.

I am just a fan of anything on toast with lots and lots of butter, not good for the waistline I know but it is nice to have a treat every now and then!

Wow Lizzie, that is Martha Stewart-ish! By the way, I love the way your house looks. So clean and nice!

We had our kitchen done last year and it is my pride and joy(besides my girls that is), I love to cook, much to the detriment of my waistline!!!!! My friend Lisa often calls me Martha:)
